FYI, the Canadian mechanic has one official "held" on the LOS who determines if a punt/FG attempt crosses the LOS. Is that the L's job, here? The L never moves, so I'm assuming so ...

Blocked punt with ball that does not crossed the NZ (or are blocked within 3yds in def backfield) remains in play as any other loose ball and therefore there may be again a punt, a pass or a run.
Legal play for what I know.

Correct on 7mencrew mechanics ... L stays home.

The block of the ball can occur behind the NZ, or by a player who is up to three yards past the NZ.  However, in order for the kicking team to be able to advance the ball, they must recover it BEHIND the neutral zone (no 3 yard buffer for recovery).

In this case, he recovered it 5 yards behind the NZ, and ran.  Good for him!  But he should smack the middle protector in his wall who went the wrong way and allowed the punt blocker to come in untouched.
