...but actually happened. I was at a game and a person in the stands had a megaphone. Would mainly be for cheering for her team, but if there was something the officials called (or didn't call) she didn't like, she was definitely telling them about it! Officials just ignored it and played on.
How would you handle this?

As an official, play on. She bought her ticket, she can say what she wants about me.
As a school administrator, we don't allow artifical noisemakers at games, so she can pick up her megaphone on the way out from my office and not bring it back.
As her child, hide my face in embarassment. Didn't I just see this lady on Dancemoms?

Actually, I think she was on Toddlers and Tiaras.
Disclaimer: I don't actually watch that show, but I've seen clips from The Soup and the internet. ;D

That actually was my first thought until I saw a clip of Dancemoms. I keep waiting for "Cheer/Softballmoms" to come on. That one I actually have had first hand experience with as a coach, school administrator and official and it is not pretty!

Just like they did.

Clearly the solution is to obtain your own megaphone and fight fire with fire.

Across the fence ain't my problem.
