Title: Chop Block

NCAA rules. Any input would be great.

9-6-3

ARTICLE 3. If subsequent review of a game by a conference reveals plays
involving flagrant personal fouls that game officials did not call, the conference
may impose sanctions prior to the next scheduled game

Would probably get a better answer on the NCAA page.  However, I think the rule is written for NCAA conferences not states using NCAA rules.  You might be overstepping your bounds as a game official submitting this to your "league".  (Not sure if you are HS or semi-pro, I know Mass is a NCAA state.)  I'd clear it with a superior first.

If an opposing coach is mad/concerned enough about it, he's going to submit it to whatever governing authority exists.

You may have a little more leeway then.  I'd run it up a flagpole all the same.

I never got the video to play at the office so I couldn't judge the action.  I just figured its not a good idea to unilaterally try to get a player suspended for a flagrant act at the HS level.  I imagine at the semi-pro level there might be less political maneuvering to endure.

It is a BBW, not a chop.
