Real off-the-wall item today for me.
So we all (should) have our pants zipped up all the way.
What about your stripes? - any edict your assn has for how far to zip (respond whether you do HS or college pls)? While no edict round these parts, I go half-way up.
Via TV, I've noticed that many ncaa conferences are either all the way up, or nearly all the way up.

There is no specific requirement, but to leave it half-zipped is a quite unprofessional look, even with a black undershirt. Zip it up.
-
Our association's policy on zippers is...
Just kidding. I wanted to see what that looked like in print. My zipper's always up. aWaRd

Here's my rationale (for whatever it's worth): - and again, no edict round these parts, thus my inquiry.
My button-down business shirt has the top button un-buttoned unless I'm wearing a tie. The same is true if wearing a golf ("polo") shirt.
So seeing that stripes are a pullover shirt & I'm not wearing a tie, wouldn't that follow the same criteria?

That's my thought as well. I leave mine unzipped a little bit at the top.

+1

90% for me

I feel like im being strangled if it's zipped all the way up and I think it looks silly. I give it about 1" of unzipped-ness

Me too, also.

Unless you're a former Navy fighter pilot; then you can unzip your shirt to your navel.

Navel? What is this word you use?

Mine is zipped up about 80% of the way or so. I don't like the way it looks or feels all the way zipped up, but I agree that having it unzipped or barely zipped looks poor.

I noticed Hochuli had his zipped all the way during the Steelers/Titans game.

I dont see how thats even possible. No zipper can contain the Hochuli.

I keep my shirt zipped all the way or nearly all the way up but the zipper on my new shorts with white stripes will not stay up. Last night, I had to zip my shorts up at least 10 times during the game. I was wondering why all the ladies were smiling (or laughing) at me.

Last weekend play-off game mid-way 3rd qtr. BJ informs U (me) my pant zipper is down. Don't know how I could have missed that after half-time bath-room break...

Normally zipped up about 90%...BUT
Last game: cold night; but at half-time it was warm in the room so I unzipped my shirt...forgot about it when we went back out...HATED HOW IT LOOKED (game was being televised) z^
Discovered it half-way through the 3rd quarter. (PO'd that nobody mentioned it to me) :!#

Curious: Which game did you work?

Matt,
It was a play-off game two weeks ago - with some guy named "Matt"......... ;D

Speaking of zippers I have had a different issue, this one concerning pants zippers. I bought the Smitty pants this year and at half-time of my third game, the zipper failed. I emailed Smitty's and they said to email the place I purchased them. I did and they overnighted me a new pair. Had them hemmed and wore them once and the zipper failed while undressing after the game. This time, Smitty is sending a replacement pair.
Guess they just aren't strong enough zippers to contain me pHiNzuP
Anyone else had issue with Smitty Pants?

Always the last item on pregame and half-time kit checks when I'm working!

I am pondering a velcro something, or a safety pin, to solve the unzipping of my shirt.
