State Final Game (NFHS)/Rose Bowl (NCAA). R is winning 13-12. 4th Quarter :07 on the clock. K lines up for a FG snap comes and the kick is good. K's whole team rushes the field after the kick was good. But the clock still says :01. The Referee hits K with a 15 yards UNC. Next to the kick off. K is kicking the ball off when K's sideline decides to give the coach the ole' Gatorade bath and huge chunks of ice fall on the field. All of a sudden the kick is fielded by R and he takes off down the sideline untouched and is on his way for a TD, when then he slips and falls on a chunk of the ice. What do you do in both NCAA/NFHS?

Tell me this play didn't really happen.
-
No did not happen but it almost did... which sparked the question.
-
Dunno about NCAA, but in my FED game, I'm awarding R a TD. (9-9-1) No XP try.
And, K should fire their coach the next morning.
-
Is the ice dumped while the ball is live? Or before?
If they put stuff on the field during a play and it interferes, I can see awarding a TD (assuming he truly was all alone).
But if it was done before the kickoff, then I've got nothing. Rub of the green.

I'd go with Unfair Act, and award a score. Maybe folks will use more sense than to celebrate prematurely.

Agreed. Stupid thing to do in such a close game, and stupidity should not be rewarded.
