I have been selected to be the U for the Division 1 Section Championship Game in Sac-Joaquin Section of California. This will be my first Championship. I am very excited. Only problem is that the weather is not looking good. We are supposed to have some serious rain and winds 30 mph with gust to 50. I think it will be a running game.
If anyone is interested the game is being streamed here (http://www.playonsports.com/channels/cif-sac-joaquin-california/events/46479l). Game time is 7:30 PM PST.

Awesome! It is fun working at Sac State. I was BJ for D2 final (Grant v. Folsom) two years ago and worked as the Alternate for the D1 Final (Granite Bay v. Pleasant Grove) last year. This year I was selected to work the Nor Cal Division 1 CIF Bowl Game... I'm not sure if I want to brave the weather and go out and watch the game tomorrow night. Good luck! Make them BIG... and HAVE FUN!!!

Congrats, Mike! Once the game starts, you'll quickly forget the weather 'cause you'll have to work extra hard.
Have fun! tiphat:

Man that's great. Good job.
you know, I was watching TV last Friday I believe & there was a HS game on. The fog was so bad they could only shoot from the sidelines. Was that in CA?

Congratulations on your assignment.
Steve, I think I saw the end of the same game you were watching. I had a first round game about 4-5 years ago with similar conditions. The DVD of the game the home team sent me afterwards was pretty useless.

Not sure. Fog can get pretty bad here in the Central Valley.
Things are looking up for our weather. Looks like we will get a break from the rain just before game time.

That's great. Keep a close eye out because you will meet the most interesting people. We did a playoff game in PLant City a few years ago. Tony Dungee came in before kickoff and shook hands with the crew before we went out on the field.
