On this topic, anyone see the play during 1st quarter where the maroon QB scrambled forever & connected for a TD?
During the play, there was a BBW that was highlighted.  While it was not a clip, I could not figure out which A player BBW on which B player.
Anyone else see this play?

Yes, I have it clipped and will post it tonight.   It was behind the LOS so the block back toward's A's own GL was legal.   The Team B coach was not happy with the no call but looked legal to me

I'm a lowly HS guy, so the NCAA BBW rule is a bit cryptic to me.

PPPUUUUUHHHLLLEEEEZZZEEEEE!!!

The NCAA BBW rule is beyond cryptic to guys who work it (and study it) on a daily basis.

NSA Code-breaking chart:

Take the last one and multiply by 10 to the 3d power and you get the time it would take to break the code of the NCAA BBW rule

Hey Mike, 1995 just called and asked for its "Time to Crack" chart back. 40 bits? puh-leeze!

Oh, and if you have a spare copy of Mosaic lying around, could you send that too?

:D

The officials were from the Frontier Conference, 5 of them from Montana and 2 from Idaho.  I am a little biased but I thought they had a great game.

I thought it should have been a clip. This is a safety foul so I wouldn't use the same philosophies as an IBB.  But it is a great play for discussion and I would love to hear how RR would like it called.

Absolutely legal block but the kind that will eventually get all BBW excluded.

One question:  This was a perfect block back when I played.   It was taught and executed every game.   Players did not get hurt at the rate they do today.   What is the difference?
1) Turf
2) Bigger Players
3) Faster players
4) More passing and open field plays
5) Other

Just curious as to other's opinions.

We drank more whole milk back in the day.  Stronger bones.

Improvements in medical science, allowing them to detect wear and tear that otherwise would have gone unnoticed for years?
