It is actually a coaches intercom set that apparently has been adapted for officials communications. I was watching a HS game on ESPN from Georgia one night and some of the coaches were wearing them. I noticed they appeared to be the same belt packs as what some of the SEC officials were wearing so I started searching online. Once I found the website, I actually engaged in an online chat with a rep. This is what I was told-
Have I seen college FB officials using your X12 belt pack transmitter this season?
We do about five conferences
I've seen them on tv and was watching a HS football game from Georgia tonight and noticed that the coaches had the same belt pack unit that I had seen some SEC officials wearing. I am a NC HS official but assume that these are probably out of our price range.
They are very high end with encryption etc. basic cost for up to a eight ref system is 695.00 per ref. College and pro devices are $995.00 each.
That would definitely be out of the budget range of most HS officials. Perhaps one day there will be a market priced for that level. I knew I had seen them earlier this season on the officials in a SEC game, I believe, and was surprised when I saw some HS coaches tonight wearing the same transmitter on ESPN2. I do appreciate the information
We had over 4,500 high schools football teams using ProCom
