Camp Attire

Lowly HS guy here going to first NCAA officials' camp. - so pardon the rookie question.
When not working the camp's scrimmages, what is acceptable/expected to be worn during the class sessions?
Docker-type pants? Docker-typs shorts? (each certainly with a collar shirt)

No need to ask for pardon because of an excellent question.  Hats off to you for investing in your future by looking to attend clinics to make yourself better.   This is an excellent way to start as you prepare to become an NCAA official.  Khackis and a nice collared shirt (golf shirt if warm weather) are perfect attire along with a decent pair of shoes.  Business casual and you can't go wrong.  A suit and tie would be overkill and shorts/sneakers wouldn't be appropriate.  This is my opinion based on MY experience (about 10 clinics over the past 8 years).  My advice is to take LOTS of notes.  These clinics usually have well-experienced keynote speakers who enjoy imparting knowledge to help his/her fellow offiicals.

What camp are you going to?  Just some advice  I will give you  I have learned when going to camp  Always act professional and wear business casual. Do not wear collared shirts with college or pro sport logos on them.  Invest in a 2 inch shirt with the placards on them. Its good to have them  for alternate postions as well  example H and L or F and S. Get the Black coaching style shorts and use them until you get picked up and are told you can wear something different.  Socks you need to find out ahead of time to be safe wear white calf socks  Some supervisors do not like the footie style socks. Make sure you bring black uniform pants and all equipment as well I am sure you know that but the first camp can be overwhelming Also make some good contacts with people who work your position always to have a good mentor   Good luck to you  and just be yourself
