We may just think things are worse....

While doing some research on my HS alma mater this week, I stumbled over a newspaper article on Google newspaper archives from the Hendersonville (NC) Times-News about violence at high school games.  It was an AP article with the following additional piece focusing on incidents in NC.

The article is from 1970!

Appeasement is nothing new.  The ONLY way to discourage bad behavior is to DEAL with it.  Ignoring, excusing, tolerating, defending, accepting, condoning bad behavior will ONLY encourage and produce more of it.
