Down and Distance?

2nd and 8 at the A45.  QB 8 receives the snap runs forward and fumbles on the A48.  B 30 catches the fumble and runs the A1 and while being tackled fumbles the ball which is recovered by  A63 on the A1.

Question what is the next down and distance.?????? is the next A 3rd & 54 from the A1?

nless I'm reading wrong, B had possession of a loose ball with clean hands and subsequently fumbled where A recovered.

Agree with Tampa, change of possession during play, you will award a new series to the team in possession at the end of the down.  As ball 1/10 at the A1

This is an easy one -- 1st and Ten for A from the 1.  But this question seems to beg the question -- did this happen in a recent game you were in, or saw, and there was a different result?
