I need opinions about this call

I´m a football player from a team in Uruguay in South America and the league is amateur. With that being said I would like to see some opinions from more expert people. In a game the referees threw a flag and the penalty was Targeting because “I led with the crown of the helmet”. In my opinion it was a wrong call because I lead with the shoulder and not with the helmet, plus I’m trying to avoid any type of contact with the player because he´s going down. The video of the play isn´t good but I´ll leave the link below.

TBH I cannot tell if you led with the crown of your helmet or not, the view is blocked by another player.  Just remember that officials will always err on the safety on calls like this.

I can't tell from the video.  Did your shoulder hit the player in the head or neck area?

Targeting and Making Forcible Contact to Head or Neck Area of a Defenseless Player (Rule 9-1-4)

No player shall target and make forcible contact to the head or neck area of a defenseless opponent with the helmet, forearm, hand, fist, elbow or shoulder. This foul requires that there be at least one indicator of targeting. When in question, it is a foul.

As suggested, it's a "Judgment Call", and it's not YOUR conclusion that matters.
