Helmet types

Don't know if this is the right forum to be asking this but I was asked this a while back here in Brasil and I had no clue about the subject.

Seems like IFAF has banned youth type football helmets (or so I've been told). I don't know why and I don't have an opinion on the matter since I have no clue as to the differences between helmet types.

Anybody got something on this? Can help me understand what's going on and what is the difs btween helmets?

Define "youth type football helmets." The rule book is pretty clear on the NOCSAE standards that must be met.

I was wondering if somebody could mak that definition for me
nobody here in Brasil can

someone just wrote me "youth" helmets are made of more fragile material
never knew there were differences like that
