Helmets Coming Off
« on: November 22, 2014, 11:56:55 PM »
I haven't done any scientific study but it seems to me that we had a lot less helmets coming of player's heads this year. Could it be that they are finally fitting the helmets better and making sure chinstraps are tight? Anybody else notice this?

Seems less but still frequent.  Some teams seem to be more susceptible to me.

I believe they are all finally getting the message.
"Gentlemen, we are going to relentlessly chase perfection, knowing full well we will not catch it, because nothing is perfect. But we are going to relentlessly chase it, because in the process we will catch excellence. I am not remotely interested in just being good."

Kid realizes he has to leave for a play (and possibly get yelled at by his coach) when his helmet comes off, he'll tighten the strap up better.

I havent done ant scientific research either, but it seems to me those slippery underarmour (or the like) skull caps do not help in keeping the helmet on either.
