Accept penalty, decline yardage

Had a situation this past weekend. On a PAT, the defense jumped offside and the kick was no good. The kicking team wanted to replay the PAT, but not accept the yardage. I thought that it was possible to do that, but I can't find it the rulebook. Can a team accept a penalty but decline the yardage that goes with the penalty? TIA

Officially, no. But there is a legal workaround. Check 8-3-3-b-2.

 "A repeat of the down after a penalty against Team B may be from any point on or between the hash marks on or behind the yard line where the penalty leaves the ball. (A.R. 8-3-3-III)"
