Swinging gate formation

Just so no one gets mislead by another thread, a “swinging gate” formation does NOT qualify as a ‘scrimmage kick formation,’ since it is not obvious that a scrimmage kick will be made. That IS the rule, and Shaw has reinforced that in a recent set of video plays.
When coaches tell me they will run the swinging gate, I remind them they must have 5 linemen numbered 50-79. They usually say, yes, they do. But, we still gotta check.

I had that in a recent game.  Only 4 players 50-79 and flagged at the snap.  Coach said he never heard of this rule.  Even with a kicker and holder in position.  Not a SKF.  And of course they didn't kick it, instead threw a pass.

I, for one, am proud of you.
Anybody surprised that the coach didn’t know this rule? I’m certainly not.
