The coach inadvertently bailed the crew out on that one. 

I don't know for sure if this crew does, but if you routinely work much sub varsity with rookie and/or new officials you will certainly need to know how to handle all sorts of IW situations.

Why would the U who is not even in frame he's so far away even be thinking about a whistle?

A B would never do that.  It was probably not a regular B but just some lesser position guy thrown in there.

36 years.  It just goes to show that it can happen to anyone. I didn't know there was a lesser position than a B.   B's are like condoms, there handy when you need them but most of the time they're just in the way. Have a great day Mike.  LOL  LOL

That's a pretty good one there , I don't care who you are.   And to add to that comparison, when we fail, it usually means DISASTER!

My point EXACTLY!!!  Sure the IW was bad, but it was not near as bad as the direction the R was going and would have went had it not been for the coach bailing him out.

I tell my B that he's like the trauma surgeon of the crew - we don't need him all the time, but when we do need him, we REALLY need him.
