Take Your Eye Off the Ball

I don't know how many of you would be interested in this book but I find it fascinating from an officiating standpoint. The book, Take Your Eye Off the Ball was written by Pat Kirwan who has been involved in the NFL for many years. Part of the book title includes, "How to watch Football by Knowing Where to Look"

Many of the things mentioned in this book I already use as an official and I also learned a couple of new thing to help me in pre and post snap reads.

Definitely a good read.  Bought it for my Nook last year.

If that book is anything like this excerpt, I may have to buy myself a copy.

Now look, you know different people think about life in different ways. Lawyers think life is a big court room, doctors probably think life is like a big operation, and bus drivers think life is... er... a big bus I guess, who knows what the hell those guys think. Anyway, I've always thought of life as a big football game...
