And, lest we forget, there is a rule change deferred from 2017 to 2018: Players must wear knee pads that cover the knees, with pants that also cover the knees (and pads). Of course, the UIL could make and "exception" to this rule. But, they had the opportunity to do that last year, and didn't, so...
