Superintendents Survey?
« on: June 29, 2011, 01:04:17 AM »
I was looking for the UIL exceptions and happen to come across this survey that was taken in Spring 2011.  Since when did the litigation get dropped?

20. The UIL Legislative Council passed a significant increase in game fees paid to officials as part of the October 2009 Legislative Council meeting. This increase in game fees paid to officials was to be effective for the 10-11 school year. Because of litigation filed by the Texas Association of Sports Officials, the increase in fees paid to officials was not able to be implemented. This litigation against UIL has recently been dismissed. However, due to the continuing financial struggles facing UIL member schools, the question has arisen as to whether the increase in game fees paid to officials should be implemented or whether it should be delayed. Which of the following options would you prefer?

Well, if this action has been dismissed, then I might highly suggest that someone needs to immediately contact either Judge Byrne or Judge Hurley in the 126th Civil District Court and enlighten them that their court docket has suddenly shrank. And after letting those folks know about the sudden free space on their dockets, courtesy calls should be made over to Manor Road as the named defendents[ :!#  tiphat: ] who currently dwell over there during the daylight hours might procure that good news with zeal and let them enlighten both their public(AG's Office) and private counsel to immediately stop the running meter on their hourly legal fees despite the fact that the State of Texas, even with its budgetary shortfall, will still copiously shell out their dineros to defend their lousy hides!   z^

We have to know the date of when the survey went out. It may have gone out when we were in one of those periods where it seemed to many that the litigation was over due to certain court rulings.  It is a "Spring" survey so must have gone out some time ago as they already have the results

More importantly, if we ever do get this out of the courts, they are looking to CUT our pay!
