Back Judge boo-boo
« on: October 14, 2012, 09:12:30 PM »
Team K punts from the K-35 yard line.  Deep receiver R1 muffs the ball at the R-38 yard line and a mad scramble ensues.  K1 muffs the ball at the R-35 yard line.  R2 muffs the ball at the R-36.  K2 finally recovered the ball at the R-32 yard line and runs to the R-25 yard line where he is tackled.  During K2’s run, player R2 commits a personal foul at the R-44 yard line.
Obviously the BJ should have killed it when K recovered.  But he had a brain fart. Do we enforce that PF by R2 at what should have been the dead ball spot (the R-32 where K recovered) and enforce as dead ball?
