Notre Dame vs Tenn State game

Guys, I probably fouled it up, but I am curious -Did anyone see the Notre Dame vs Tennessee State game on Saturday? In the 4th quarter I believe there were two fouls on the same play. A DPI and a PF on the Offense on what i believe was a 3rd down play. The officials awarded a first down but no yardage was marked off. Shouldn't the 2 live ball fouls have offset and 3rd down been replayed? Just curious, I am sure I probably missed part of what occurred.

Are you sure the personal foul wasn’t a dead ball foul? If it was, and the DPI was the full 15, then it would look like nothing was enforced when in reality both were enforced. The DPI would be 15 yards and an automatic 1st down. Then the DBPF would be 15 yards the other way. So you would end up at the same spot you started, but with a new series.
