High School 'Return Kick'

Question for Ralph -
When was the Return Kick eliminated from the Rules Book?
It was legal as far as I can see through 1950.
Thanks!

n 1965, Rules 2-14-2, 6-3, and 9-4-2 removed the return kck. Rule 2-24-3 remained , allowing a free kick following a fair catch. I played high school football from 1962-1964 and the only 'return kick' I recall was if big ole' Bubba kicked you in the baby makers, you would kick him back. ;D
