Dallas Chapter President Resigns

I see on the TASO website that the president of the dallas chapter resigned.  Also see his name on the list of, ahem, NFL replacement officials.....any correlation?

Yes there was a connection.  Robert took the high road and resigned as President to avoid any issues.  We wish him good luck as a "replacement" NFL Referee. I know that he will do a good job.

I suspect there is/was a lot of introspection done.  If we go back a short time to when there was all the discussion about what to do if UIL took over and many guys said they would sit , some of those folks may not be wondering if they are doing something somehwat similar to what other guys said they would do if UIL took over , i.e. keep working the games.

I don't see the 2 as being that closely related although I suspect some may. And if they do, it could be difficult to accept what some are doing now.

So this brings up the question.  TXMike and others if  you had been approached by the NFL would you jump at the opportunity or decline?

I did receive the invite and did decline although I honestly do not think I would have made it even if I had tried.

I don't think the invitations were that big a deal  I think they got some lists from certain places and just mass mailed/spammed.
