Many of you answered the NFHS questionnaire and here are the results....
PART I : All of last year's changes strongly supported.

PART II : Problems in your area....none reported by majority

PART III: Establishing a new definition for blindside blocks..
                    Coach -61%, official -75%, state -63%
               Blindside blocks be initiated with open hands...
                     Coach -42%, official -63%,  state -56%
               Eliminating FBZ....
                     Coach -21%, official - 39%,  state- 32%
               Adding a 40-second play clock......
                      Coach -51%, official -50%, state - 60%
              Start on RFP after COP.....
                      Coach - 31%, official - 63%, state - 54%
              Spike from shotgun...
                       Coach -64%, official - 47%,state - 63%
               No NG if outside tackle box & pass goes > LOS...
                        Coach 68%, official - 51%, state -65%

   FYI : 4472 coaches, 9056 officials and 43 states responded.
                     Return leaders...
                             Missouri w/ 702 coaches
                             Ohio w/ 1,031 officials
                             43 states tied at 1  :)

Interesting to see that coaches want no ING if outside the tackle box. I wonder if they sent these to defensive coordinators. :)

Just the same, I remain strongly opposed to such a change.

I'd  be surprised if very many. if any. of these passed.

I'm surprised by the low number of coaches that want to require blind-side blocks be open hand only.

Most of them didn't want it in Connecticut either.  But once it was in place, it became very popular.  Coaches discovered that it is very easy to teach and has no impact on the game except to make it safer.
