Two penalties during dead ball between downs on A.

1st and 10 for A from the  B40.   A completes  a 20 yard play to B20 for a 1st down I am H and see A40 while getting up from the pile punch a B player I  ! The LJ also saw the punch. We report to the R and inform of the foul and the ejection.  I set up the chains for a 1st & 10 for A from back at B35.  After signal the foul and going over to A sideline to notify of the ejection the R gets an earful of colorful personal language from the A coaches and out comes the R  ! The R kept the chains at the 35 marched them back to the 50 and made it 1st & 25 ?   No he did not blow the RFP between the DBP and the USC on the coach.  Did we screw this up ?  Should have it been 1st and 10 from the 50 for A?

The key here, guys, is the RFP. If it had sounded, don't reset the chains. Our guys blew one a few years ago, and here it is so you won't :

  (1) "hurry up" offense late in the  game;

  (2) A gains a new series @ B's 25;

  (3) chains were set; U gnawing on as A rushes to LOG;

 (4) snapper snap ball BEFORE RFP;

 (5) fly while U chokes on  ;

 (6) crew set up 1st & 15 @ B's 30;

 (7) crew SHOULD HAVE reset chains, 1st & 10 @ B's 30;

We got lucky in our game 2 years ago same situation happened but our pregame that night as unusual penalty enforcements that might catch you off guard and this was one of the examples and then we did it correctly at 1st and 10.  It was funny too because this was a televised game and our local announcers as usual had no clue why it was still first and 10.
