Covered Up, Good Number?

81 and 88 are on the both on the line on the same side of the ball.  81 is covered up and so 88 is the only eligible on this side.  Can 81 catch a forward pass in the backfield?

In this play 81 is not eligible, by position, to catch a forward pass, whether the forward pass in behind or beyond the NZ makes no difference.

He can catch it, but it'll cost his team  5 yards+ loss of down  :(. Foul : illegasl touching, if this occurred beyound LOS : previous spot enforcement; if behind LOS, spot of foul under all-but-one.
