Super Bowl musings......
« on: February 07, 2023, 03:28:23 PM »
While the Chiefs have the best ACTIVE QB on our planet, I'llbe rooting for the Eagles (Philly is closer to Maine than K.C.)

i'll say the score before the game even starts to be........

                                         0 - o

(That may change after the kickoff)    aWaRd

WHAT SAY YOU  ???      :sTiR: :sTiR: :sTiR: :sTiR: :sTiR:

That’s about as risky of a prediction as my prediction that weather will not affect the outcome of this game.

Most of the folks in these parts are big Philly fans this week, with former ‘Bama players Jalen Hurts, Devonta Smith, and Landon Dickerson starting for the birds.  My feeling is that if Mahomes is healthy, it will be a very close game.

Roll Eagles!

Great Super Bowl ! At the party that I was at, a question was posed to me and now I'll pose it to you....

While KC's decision to down the ball at the one inch line made sense, could a Phila. player(s) grab the runner before he went down ^good ^talk and drag him into the EZ to preserve time ?

It was also noted by one attendee that counting the number of commercials promoting that network's coming shows indicates the amount of commercial time that went unsold.  8]

The USFL begins in only a few weeks  tR:oLl :puke:

The Red Sox equipment truck is on its way to Florida  aWaRd

.........THAT'S ALL FOR NOW  tiphat:

I think the NFL forward progress rules are similar enough to NCAA to warrant a guess: sure, the forward progress stops when either the runner is down (or out of bounds) or his FORWARD movement is stopped. Grabbing the player and moving him forward in this case would have been a really smart play (not that there was a chance, the runner was smart enough to take the knee well before any contact).
