Bringing back the 'fumbleroski' ......
« on: October 16, 2023, 08:52:41 AM »
It was this Friday's game, the coach when asked of any unusual plays, responded : " Yea, we plan to run the 'fumbleroski'" He was told that it had been illegal since the Bush Administration. I was asked by a fellow official as to which Bush.I had to look that one up...just in case you woundered,too..

1992 - George H. W. Bush - 7-2-8: Prohibits a team A player advancing a planned loose ball unless the referee is notified before that down.

2006 - George W. Bush -  7-2-8 : The option to use a "planned loose ball" has been removed.

For 14 years the fumbleroski was legal in NFHS, can any  of you recall of seeing it ?

Oregon had and utilized the Fumble-rooskie up until the George W. Bush Administration had it killed it in 2006

Typically teams in Oregon would run the Fumble-rooskie just prior to running the Oregon Flea-Flicker!

Other Notable information -
*** - In 1990, George H W Bush played a hand in the legalization of the Charley O Finley Flickering Florissant Football

SEE everything that you CALL, but; Don't CALL everything you SEE!
Never let the Rules Book get in the way of a great ball game!

Ran it twice in '81.  Once for a TD, once for a 1st down.
