Can 1st and Goal ever become 1st and 10 for A without a change of possession?

1st and G for A at B's 10. A72 is called for holding. 1st and G for A at B's 20. Next play, A72 (having a rough night) is called for holding again. 1st and G for A at B's 30. Next play, B54 is called for Roughing the Passer on an incomplete pass. So... 1st and G for A at B's 15 or 1st and 10 for A at B's 15??

An automatic first down is 1st and 10, or less, but never more.

And remember, guys, that while you can accept the penalty but decline the yardage, you can't accept the penalty and decline the auto first down. Consider :

 (1) 1st & 10 @ 50;
 (2) A holds @ LOS = 1st & 20 @ A's 40;
 (3) RTP = 1st & 10 @ B's 45;
 
A might like to, but can't decline the AFD & have 1st & 5.

The chain are dropped and the down box is on the eight first and goal. Before the ready the snapper snaps the ball for a quick play. The dead ball penalty for a snap infraction now makes it 1st and 10 from the 13!
