An editorial change is usually only a tweak to clarify an impact on a rule. IMHO - AND THIS IS ONLY A GUESS-- 'field of play' (excluding end zones) may be changed to 'field' (including end zones) this would allow a big old' Bubba to stroll into an expanded neutral zone even if it brings him into touchdown land.
