My first OT game in college lasted 2 plays (interception for an TD).  I was disappointed because I wanted to work some more.   :)

My first high school OT game ended in two plays, too.  Team that went on offense first scored on the first play. The other team fumbled the ball, and Tugboat from the now-defense jumped on the ball.  And, since this was a JV game out in the country, we took changed our shoes and got in the car.

We need a clock for baseball.  Most every other sport has a clock.  Instead of innings being based solely on 3 outs per half inning we can use a timer as well to end an inning.  3 outs or 8 minutes, whichever comes first.

Our state does have time limits for HS sub-varsity.

For conference games starting this season, the SEC has several new “pace of play” timing rules in effect.  We’ll see how that goes.

Our sub-varsity games, too, have a time limit. No new inning starts after the game has gone two hours
