It took some digging to find an "accurate" account of what happened, but here's a link to something more substantial:

It didn't involve a "referee", as far as I can tell, but rather a conference game administrator who threw his clipboard at the coach (not a punch). It really sounds like there's a lot more to the story here, however.

In any case, the game administrator doesn't sound like he'll be administering any more games.

In the video, you cannot see the altercation. Announcers report the guy charting fouls threw his clipboard at the coach and was asked to leave the confines.
