Clock Op Meeting
« on: September 28, 2016, 09:57:30 PM »
Every week I go through the pregame with the game clock operator, it seems as if its a ok why am I here type meeting with the operator for most meetings.  Below is what I go through with my clock op, am I missing something or does anyone have any advice on how to make the meeting more productive?

Standard clock operation - starting/stoping.
who to communicate with for timing corrections
Untimed downs and signal for untimed down
Amount of time to run off the clock in the event of onside kick and immediate recovery
Field Goal with 5 seconds or less will be the last play of a qtr
KO let time expire if only 1 or 2 seconds and not in 4th qtr.

This is our clock operator checklist.  We also print this out and give each clock operator a copy every game.
