Keeping in mind that I do know On a free kick the game clock starts on the official's wind when the ball is legally touched or if the ball crosses the goal line and team b player brings it out, the player crosses the goal line.
But does the game clock start (keeping in mind the above) start if a free kick is muffed?

I haven't had this situation occur at any of my games that I have worked the clock this season, but would like to be prepared should this occur in the future.

Remember that a muff is simply a touch that does not result in possession. So, if a ball is legally touched in the field of play during a free kick the game clock should be started. If it is illegally touched, the clock should not start.
