Presentation to Son's Class

So my son is in kindergarten, and I received a phone call last week and was asked to talk to the kids about being a referee and how it relates to and benefit the community.

At first I thought this will be easy! But now I am a little at a loss.... not sure how to make officiating interesting to a room of 5 and 6 year old kids.

Any ideas or topics?

My plan is to bring my uniform, whistles, bean bags, and flags.

5-6 yr olds are a tough audience.  You might keep the focus on playing "nice" together, how much fun can be had respecting each other and enjoying each other's presence.  Way too young for rules and/or "competition".

They'll understand the basics of fairness, teamwork, having fun, staying healthy and having "snack" after the game. 

Just work off that framework and you'll be fine.
