KCI or not?

K is punting from their own 42 yard line.

R1 is waiting to catch the punt 33 yards away on his own 25 yard line.

A low line drive punt hits K 62 in the back 18 yards downfield on R's 40 yard line.

Question:  KCI, 6.5.6.a, or

no foul, "Exception: ... no player of R is in position to catch the ball" because R1 was 15 yards away

Not Being 15 yards away from a low liner hitting K , BUT it is first touching, as you guys have said. Be sure to stay alert (unlike the BJ in the Pats/Packers game). A good coach will instruct his return men to grab the ball and run. It's afree play - unless theey foul - as they can take the ball @FT if the result isn't a happy one.
