Sorry.  I have to go with baseball if we're talking soporific.  The only time there's any excitement is when a pitcher beans a batter.  Even managers arguing with an umpire draws a big yawn from me.

Remember that, "Variety" is the spice of life.  The one absolute, common to all manners of spectator sports is the equal distribution of really ignorant fanatics.  If there was only 1 sport that everyone agreed on, the number of idiots concentrated on that 1 sport would be overwhelming.  Sadly, "stupidity" is a communicable disease, that spreads like a virus. 

I'm happy to keep soccer "fans" focused on soccer games.

More interesting question how long before officials view the game from moveable cameras suspended above the player level. then the umpire can go back where he belongs without any risk.

Better yet, suspend the officials on overhead cables and move us along.

Don't know about bowls, but I would rather watch curling than car racing (except for the crashes) or golf (except for the.... Um... Ok, gotta go now.)
