Pink Referee's Shirt
« on: May 17, 2011, 08:56:24 PM »
Ok, so I was looking around and I found this on the officials choice website.

http://www.theofficialschoice.com/footballshirt-shortsleeve-2.aspx

But they don't make one for football.

Anyone know if there's anything on the market available for the football ref?

Our association is developing a pink kit (shoelaces, flag, number, association crest, whistle, socks, etc) for October and we'd really like to get shirts as part of the deal.

Rather than having everyone in the assoc blow money on a full pink uniform to show your "support" for breast cancer awareness why doesn't the assoc have all it's members donate that money to something like, oh I don't know, some organization that actually researches for the cure of breast cancer?

We do, we as officials make a charitable donation every year for cancer research and support.

We've had a number of football wives survive this disease and recently one pass away from it, so we like to make a visible statement for awareness.

Early detection is key, you could donate all the money in the world, but if people aren't aware of the disease, they can't self-screen and it can go missed.

My ex-wife had a real knack for making my tightie whities and white wife beaters pink.  Perhaps that is why she is the ex.  I can give you her number.

Mike - Maybe I married your ex? After the second load that came out pink I decided to do all the officiating washing myself!

On the other hand, perhaps this investment would serve as an advert in front of a few hundred people at each location, who might then all go and donate; the advert can be repeated as many times as the members are willing.  Speculate to accumulate.
