With the new format. there is about an inch of unused space to the left of my screen that causes the main part of the page to be offset to the right and one needs to scroll over to see the far rightside.

I'll have to look into that.  I don't have to scroll to see the right side of the page.  Hopefully I can figure it out pretty quick.

Brad, I made a slight change.  See if it looks any better now and let me know.  You might have to refresh your page to see the difference.

Looks fine to me, both at home (Mac OSX) and at the office (Windows 7).

Just a guess, but I'd say SATCFI has his browser text size set to "larger".  Depending on the browser and the way the page is encoded, when you do that the screens will make the entire page larger to allow the text to still format on the page as intended.
