Now that the seaon is over, and we need something interesting to talk about, what are the latest developments in the UIL vs. TASO litigation?

From what I understand, the ball is squarely in  :bOW  tiphat: Manor Road's  cRaZy  Court! The lack of legal inaction could well be because they have been rather busy working on legitimate ventures such as the 2012-13 UIL Realignment. Nonetheless, haven't heard just a whole lot during the football season other than  :bOW Manor Road's directive that they were not going to dole out the UIL "dome covers" to the JerryWorld Championship officials this year. So by and large, it has, indeed, been eerily quiet over there on the Western Front and in the Travis County Civil Courts!   z^

Last I checked, oral arguments were scheduled before the Court of Appeals in Austin this afternoon (January 25th).  Experience tells me that we can expect a decision from the Court in 3 - 6 months.

Don't know about any discussions between TASO and the UIL to try and resolve it themselves.

So, we just sit here in the wilderness waiting to hearing from someone . . . anyone . . .

Third Court of Appeal's website calendar's last entry on this case was for 1/3/2012. So I'm taking it that they, like a lot of other judicial websites haven't exactly gotten around to updating their calendar. But judging from the more recent activity on the Third Court's calendar, it appears that there have been numerous delays. Kinda makes one wonder why!  z^

Now that Perry has come home maybe things will get back to "good ole boy business" :sTiR:
Interesting atricle about that school district doing away with athlectics in S Tx,
Wonder if it was all extra-curricular activities.
Kinda thunk there could be a UIL bailout for them... aWaRd

Frankly,  we are all so acutely aware that :bOW  tiphat: Manor Road  cRaZy is certainly not in the business of bailing anyone out other than itself! They're "Robbin' Hood" alright; "Robbin'" from the school districts and just about any other entity that it can find that has the potential to put money in its coffers!  z^
