Is the game clock started??

With 1:34 remaining in 4th quarter...A's onside kick - legally recovered by airborne A player at A47 yard line (no penalties)..A lands on A48 yard line possessing ball...Clock reads 1:32...

Should any time come off clock??  B Never touches ball...

The combination of Rule book stating: 
Start clock on legal touch in field of play...A can legally touch after ball breaks plane of B's receiving line...Ball is dead upon A possession (recovery)...

The clock should start - and stop pretty quickly I'd imagine.  As soon as he touches it at the A47 the clock should wind, and then stop when he is down (which is what I imagine you meant by him landing on the A48).

If A/K is the only team to touch (first touch/illegal touch) and the ball has not gone ten yards or touched a B/R player the clock does not start.

Since the ball was legally touched by A (after going 12 yards if I'm reading the free kick case play correctly), the clock should start since the ball has been legally touched in the field of play, and as soon as A has established both possession and control, the ball is dead by rule, and the clock should then stop.  IMO a 2 second interval is probably correct here given the description of the down.

Rule 3 - Section 3:  Starting and Stopping the Clock
ARTICLE 2. a. Free Kick. After the ball is free-kicked, the game clock shall be started on an official’s signal when the ball is legally touched in the field of play, or when it crosses the goal line after being touched legally by Team B in its end zone. It is subsequently stopped on an official’s signal when the ball is dead by rule.
