Punt Series of Fouls
« on: September 30, 2013, 11:44:05 PM »
Someone posted this on a message board about a game he was at this past Friday.  NCAA rules apply.

4th down, Team A punts.  While the ball is in flight, each team commits a personal foul.

As the officials sorted it out, Team B coach is flagged for UNS.

I have had discussions with our local rules interpreter on this, and it could go either way.

1. Offset and replay the down, except the dead ball UNS awards a 1/10 to Team A.
2. B declines A's foul, takes the ball, is enforced for their live ball and then their dead ball.

What do you think?

This is correct. See 10-1-4-ex2 which says that if all team B fouls are PSK fouls, team B may decline all team A fouls and take the ball after penalty enforcement.
