Is this going to be the final version, or should we expect future "corrections" and editorial changes before the season starts?

Rule 12-3-8-c says

c. Blocking by Team B players before they are eligible to touch the ball on
an onside kick (Rule 12-3-4-e).

But it should read Team A, right?

I'm confused. I thought the NCAA was on 2 year rule book cycles. But I just checked last year's book and it said "2015." I guess last year I didn't pay a lot of attention to it, but wasn't it supposed to be 2015-16? This years' says 2016-17.

They've never adhered to that rule.  The odd years they always make "editorial changes" to circumvent the rule cycle.

They have adhered to the 2 year cycle. They've made editorial AND "safety" changes since going to the 2 year book sometime around 2009. What is different this year is the fact that last year's book said "2015," and this year's says "2016 and 2017." After an 09/10, 11/12, and 13/14.

Just wondered the rationale for the change.

Possibly because the editorial changes between years was being forgotten as they weren't in the book.

Did anyone receive info as to why this was removed from the version available for download? I know you can retrieve the summary in the CFO site but it seems silly to have removed this critical section.
