UIL threatens sanctions if schools and fans don’t follow Covid requirements

Will be interesting To see if UIL really has the stones to do this. I’ve called 8 games from 7th grade to varsity this year and so far, only one team sideline mandated coaches (or anyone) wearing masks, and that was a scrimmage and I’m not sure they’re even doing that anymore. Literally no one that I recall seeing in the stands was wearing a mask and social distancing was nonexistent. Case in point:  announcement at the end of Friday night’s game: ‘to allow for social distancing, no one will be allowed in the field after the game. If you wish to visit with your players or take photos, please congregate are the end of the field by the field house.’ 🙄

Rumor has it, smart farmers often had access to 2x4's, to help really stubborn mules learn to pay attention.

No, with everyone posting pics and videos on social media it is easily seen. That is how the problem was first noted after week 1. Plus a lot of games are being live streamed this season so the UIL could check the streams if they chose to do so.
