Contact in the white
« on: September 29, 2011, 09:34:02 AM »
Sorry to raise this old saw, but my "search" skills failed to get me to the right thread...

During play, officials (1)bumps into or (2) runs around a coach who is in the coaching box... 5 for sideline interference in both, or is the bump a mandatory 15?

You have to decide if you want to go with the 5 or the 15 in (2). {9-2-5 or 9-2-3}  In (1), it is 15 down here {9-2-3}

The coach is in the coaching box and not the restricted area?  I don't think we can call anything, can we?

To clarify..I was going off the title of the post...contact in the white...and assuming he meant the restricted area.

I'm sorry, "restricted area" is what I meant.  Thanks.

Ah, thanks for clearing that up.  In that case, I agree with Mike.
