Yes. Intentionally threw the ball at the feet of the defender to save yardage, not outside the tackle box.

Pretty obvious, isn't it?

I don't think they want this called.  #3 was in the "area" and behind the defender that the QB threw the pass at.

I don't think they want this called.  #3 was in the "area" and behind the defender that the QB threw the pass at.
??? #3 was ten yards behind the defender or at least 7 when the pass was thrown.

I understand what you are saying...

I really think they want us bailing the QB out if at all possible.  It might have something to do with protecting him and safety, but we are to find a eligible receiver if possible.

I agree you give the QB the benefit of the doubt a lot, but in this case he was obviously throwing at the feet of the defender.  There was no contact that caused the ball to be short.  If the defender had not been there you could possibly argue it was in the direction of the receiver, but not in this case.

Nearly impossible to have IG nowadays...but that sure looks like it to me
