With the rule change, do they have the authority to reverse the ejection but not the penalty? I mean it's clearly roughing the passer, but FWIW, he barely hit him.

How could it be "clearly" RTP, if he "barely" hit him? That statement makes absolutely no sense.

Well considering that a WV player on the sideline was assessed a UNS for being punched in the face by Alabama's quarterback, and it's now illegal to attempt to block a kick when there are three people in front of the kicker as evidenced in the App State/Michigan game, it would seem that simply touching the quarterback is "clearly roughing the passer" of we're to be consistent.
