Wellll.......Unfortunately the NCAA has probably brought this on itself by unofficially permitting the service academies to put words instead of player names.  It does not help that apparently (allegedly)  Vanderbilt cleared this in advance with RR.  This is a slippery slope because what words will they permit and what words will they not permit?  This poor R is catching heck from media and being called a "fuddy duddy" for enforcing the uniform rule, which happens to be a rule that were given to pay special attention to this season.

Seems the SEC has said, essentially, "That was fine, now don't do it again."  I don't see anywhere in the rules that "military schools" have an exception.

Just read where Mississippi State is pulling "Hail State" jerseys they planned to wear tomorrow night. Interesting where RR's memo was distributed 3 weeks ago.

One "exception" invariably leads to another. Then another. And another. Before you know it, they become the rule. I would not be the least bit surprised to see more of this somewhere down the road. Somebody will always be pushing the envelope.
