Why have replay if it is subject to failure?

Why play the game if it subject to failure? Maybe because mortal humans are involved?

The replay official(s) is/are no different than anyone else on the crew.  Not sure how many perfect games any official has done but I'm still working hard to do mine.  Some day with continued studying of the rules, improved mechanics, improved focus at the right spots, etc. maybe I'll get there.

It's been proven beyond any doubt that replay can (and has) corrected many game critical calls.  If you expect replay to be any more perfect than the crew on the field then IMHO you're being unrealistic.

Anyone else have an on field ruling of an incomplete pass?  Mike said this was ruled on the field a TD.  I have the receiver going to the ground before he establishes himself in the field of play.  He hits the ground and the ball pops out.  Anyone else see that?

Anyone else a little uncomfortable with Mike P's delivery of his criticism?  Seems a bit too flippant to me with the "bandits in the replay booth" language- would hope for a little more altitude in his remarks about fellow officials.

But I do think the replay guys blew both calls.

Fox has corrupted him. But what else do you expect from that rag of a network? He's a common-tater who has forgotten his roots. Nothing more; nothing less.
